I now play the XLS 9. I am not sure that after a long day on the links I will be able to get the clubface squared up at impact. Actually, I hit the 8. I realised that I should tee the ball lower due to the lower CG of the XL and line the ball more towards the toe of the club as the ball marks showed I have been hitting closer to the hosel.

The Hibore XL has made golf fun for me. The less active red will be a more accurate reflection of the loft of the club. My swing speed is 90 mph. Low flight with all clubs.
No more 3 iron tee shots for me. Club is in nice condition. The distance you are getting now is even more than some tour pros. Still, since you liked your old shaft, I recommend that you put your old graffaloy shaft in if the hosel fits and try xll.

I hit the XL 8. In most reviews their is good comments about the club but in reviews about the Taylomade Burner the golfers seem much more impressed with their driver.
Shafts have a lot to do with spin. I switched from titaniu TM R5D, For anyone who might be thinking about getting a 3 wood HiBore to go along with the driver, think about an Aldila shaft.
Of course, I am no Vijay Singh. Spin will make the flight higher and keep the ball in the air.

But it has taken some getting used to for me, to tee the ball four inches off the ground! This was a great review! I would say go with the 9. I think because my swing is too much faster then regular. Any help would be greatly appreciated. The golf magazine reviews of the Hibore XL in comparison to other drivers always puts it in the middle of the group they really have nothing to great to say about this club.

Titwnium and shaft combos have a lot to do with launch angle — as do our swings. I had a previous HiBore driver with a tip active shaft and it would drop my drives 30 yards short of where they are now.
I have seem to have lost some distance. When the snow melts next spring………Look out! As I said at the beginning of this review, I normally play a fade, so this was a welcome surprise.
